ASCE 7-22 was just released at the end of 2021. It usually takes a few months after a standard is released before local jurisdictions begin adopting the new standard and begin requiring it. We are working toward including the new ASCE 7-22 standard into our MecaWind software, and will advise when it is ready. Our intent is that it would be released prior to any jurisdictions adopting, and at present we are still observing to see which state/municipalities require it first. Florida is often one of the first states to adopt new standards, and at this time they are still referencing ASCE 7-16.
When you have a current lease of MecaWInd software, you always get free updates to the software during the lease period. When ASCE 7-22 is added to MecaWind the current leases will be able to obtain these updates for no additional cost.
