The reason we have so many terms for overhang is because we have added functionality and that adds complexity, so we need more variables. In the case of the overhangs we now have the ability to specify a different overhang on the ends than are on the sides. This might be a gabled roof where the overhang on the gabled ends s different than the sides. The nomenclature is shown on the overhang entry sheet.
